Please welcome our Dr. Sadie. T.M. Alexander Scholar Class of 2025! Virginia Richards L'25 is passionate about the legal intersections of race, class, and gender in the United States and is part of a long legacy of Black students at Penn Carey Law who pushed the Law School to create the Dr. Sadie T.M. Alexander Scholarship. Prior to joining Penn Carey Law, Virginia earned her bachelor's degree in Law, History, & Society and Political Science from Vanderbilt University. During college, she also advocated for institutional support for low-income students and worked with the NAACP and Black women student survivors of sexual harassment to hold the institution accountable around allegations of sexual misconduct.
