Did you know this year marks the 100-year anniversary of the ratification of the
#19thAmendment, which declared it unconstitutional to deny the right to vote to an individual on the basis of their sex? .
Come celebrate this landmark moment in American history with
#PennLaw. From 10 to 28 of February 2020 the travelling americanbarassociation exhibit on
#womenssuffrage visits Biddle Library. Featured alongside are photos of important figures in the fight for women’s suffrage, information on the suffrage movement as it happened in Pennsylvania, and pamphlets from court cases concerning
#votesforwomen in Pennsylvania in the decades leading up to ratification, from Biddle’s own collection. 🕙 Biddle is open from 7:30am to 10:45pm everyday! .
