Did you know?... 🍕🏆 The winner of the inaugural Celebrity Pizza Pie Eating contest was Dennis Long, an alumni of the (then) Hyannis Mets. He ate an entire pie in 8 minutes and 50 seconds. Dennis, lives in Hyannis and Stonington, CT. He is a former UConn pitcher who played for Hyannis from 1977-79, and posted an 18-7 record with a 3.20 ERA. Drafted by Texas, he spent two years in the minors pitching for the Rangers and the Mets. He is presently field manager and pitching coach with the Mystic (CT) Schooners in the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
