We are so incredibly proud of megstober for winning the Lee Henson Access Award! 💕 We asked Megan why accessibility is so vital in our community and here’s what she had to say: “Growing up, one of my best friends was a wheel chair user. I was never really aware of our differing abilities until I saw the ways in which the world was created with my abilities in mind and not her’s. I also saw how people treated her differently. We would often be walking downtown and have a stranger approach us and tell her that they were so proud of her for being out and about today. None of this sat well with me. After taking recreation for individuals with disabilities and with the encouragement of that friend, I joined Mizzou Unity Coalition: a disability advocacy group on campus.
