With only nine days left before London goes to the polls to elect its next Mayor, it is unsurprising that our latest survey highlights how much citizens remain bitterly divided by the incumbent Sadiq Khan’s controversial traffic policies.
According to leading pollsters Mortar Research, 50% of older voters are critical of the current Mayor’s ULEZ expansion and LTN stealth taxes, indicating that the implementation of these policies has been poor or worse.
And with new data also showing that around a third of all Londoners believe Khan’s Ultra-Low Emission Zone expansion and Low Traffic Neighbourhood roll outs have been poor or very poor, it is little wonder that he has been a regular on the campaign trail in recent weeks, trying to persuade voters wherever he can that he won’t destroy our capital’s transport infrastructure any more than he already has.
