LemonadeDays.org | An eight year old girl with cancer named Alex proved that you are NEVER too small to change the world. By setting up a lemonade stand to “help her doctors” discover better cures for kids like her. Her first lemonade stand in the front yard raised $2,000 and brought her press coverage in her town which eventually lead to appearances on the Oprah Winfrey show and The Today Show. By the time she passed away at age 8, Alex had raised over $1 million to cure childhood cancer. This year we honor the 20 year legacy of Lemonade Days, a worldwide movement started in honor of Alex’s last stand in 2004.
