Per Wikipedia, Tchoukball (“chuke-ball”) is an indoor team sport developed in the 1970s by Swiss biologist Dr Hermann Brandt. Dr Brandt was concerned about the number of injuries in sport at the time and as part of an educational study he wanted to create a sport that reduced injuries, was not aggressive between players and enabled people of all shapes, sizes, genders, cultures, and backgrounds to play together. Silly, silly Herm. Can I call you Herm? Great. You underestimated what us psychos at movementmtg would turn your sport into. Twice a week we play something that resembles Tchoukball only in the sense that there are two nets and a ball. It’s intense, physical and impossibly fun. It’s also physical. Did I mention it’s physical?
