Not exactly the way I wanted to finish off my last race but it was certainly an amazing experience. It was my high school dream of becoming just like my dad was with his running career and hopefully having the chance to take it one step further. My high school goal was to compete in the State meet just like my dad and I finally accomplished that yesterday. I am grateful to have come this far in all my 4 years of cross country and I will forever be thankful to all my coaches, family, my friends, and others who have supported me along the way. Finishing 24th in the Division 2 state meet is something I’m proud of and being the 2nd guy to ever run state in school history is just crazy to me.
