“My adult netball life started out as a Saturday netball coach for my daughters’ team and progressed from club delegate to President of Grafton Netball Association, a position I held for 15 years. There was a time when we needed someone to look after the canteen, so I suggested my Scottish husband, Dennis do it for a few weeks. You know, just while they searched for someone more permanent. His time turned into 16 years. He loved every minute of it. It’s funny because he didn’t even know anything about netball until he married me and emigrated to Australia.
