Even during #winter break, our students are making us #UMBCproud. Check out this story coming from Puerto Rico— “My name is Zachary Neuhaus & I’m a sophomore #informationsystems major at UMBC. Right now, I’m #volunteering for a non-profit #tech organization called _itdrc. I was selected through the organization to be deployed to #PuertoRico to be part of the 7th wave of volunteers. We are here helping to install & establish #internet connections back to many places that have no communications at all. Some of our sites are 911 centers and #hospitals, but we work to establish internet and communications in all manners that will help with the recovery of Puerto Rico.” #service #UMBC #international #IT #communications
