Materials in archives are not just for observing--they can also be put to creative use. In 2014, UMBC Special Collections invited UMBC visual arts students and faculty and members of the Society for Photographic Education to use images from the Hughes Company Glass Negatives collection and "remix, reinvent, reinterpret, and reimagine" them.
