Today Austin Prep hosted its annual St. Augustine Lecture and welcomed Sister Tracey Matthia Dugas, F.S.P. to campus for this community event. The Lecture Series began in 2015 and is considered one of the signature events to enrich the intellectual life of Austin Prep by introducing students to accomplished individuals who share their lived experiences and life lessons. Known as a “media nun,” Sister Tracey is a Daughter of St. Paul, an international community of women religious who preach the Gospel through all forms of media. The basis of Sister Tracey’s lecture was the year’s school theme from the Book of Psalms (7:8): “Judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to the integrity that is in me.” Through this theme, Sister Tracey focused her remarks and advice on the inseparable connection of integrity to veritas, unitas, and caritas.
