Auburn Baseball yesterday debuted new throwback-inspired uniforms in the home midweek finale against Florida A&M. These were meant to harken back to the 1997 College World Series team. The new white jerseys featured an orange AU logo on the left chest with a navy outline. This colorway was popular during the Hal Baird era but has not been approved for use by Trademark Management & Licensing for many years. Opposite the logo is an all-navy number, which was not present on the Baird uniforms. The back of the jersey includes the player's name & number, with the latter matching the AU logo - orange with a navy outline. Auburn also debuted brand new ballcaps for the occasion. The white hats with navy bills featured the old-school AU logo colorway. While it's possible this design was worn in 1997, the Auburn Uniform Database has only been able to confirm one such game that this hat appeared - 2000 vs Vanderbilt.
