westmorelandmuseum in Greenberg, PA outside Pittsburgh recently acquired a painting from my color purple series: Shug Kisses Celie, 2016 silkscreen ink and acrylic on mirrored plexi mounted on wood panel. . . . This is a pivotal moment in the novel a bit watered down in the movie. However, life changing for me at 14yrs old when I first saw it in 1985. . . . . Thanks to everyone for welcoming me.
