Did you know April is Autism Awareness Month? "Firefighter" Tommy one of our hardest workers is 10 years old and has low functioning, nonverbal autism. He loves to come to the shop with his mom and vacuum, sweep and wash the trucks with his best buddy Denny! Tommy also loves sticks and visiting the fire departments! He has the best laugh and will make your heart grow a thousand times bigger! "Firefighter" Tommy also helps his mom run a nonprofit called Heroes Helping Those with Special Needs! Tommy puts together all the sensory bags they donate out to fire & police departments locally & nationwide! His mom helps to train fire departments & police departments on autism! They run a special needs safety program with the Willoughby Fire Department and hold family friendly special needs events throughout the year!
