Las Vegas has long been the epicenter of magic, and the tricks just keep getting better. Not only can you catch David Blaine's first-ever residency—an adrenaline-pumping show where the magician and stuntman holds his breath in a water tank, sticks a needle through his arm, and sews his mouth shut—but you can also score a seat at Sin City’s hottest undercover show, which is led by an Australian in a rabbit mask.
That Australian, known simply as The Magician, started out doing intimate, invite-only shows for 10 to 15 people in secret locations. Now, his shows aren’t so secret anymore, although he’s managed to keep his true identity under wraps.
And there’s a third act that should be on every magic-lover’s radar: The 32-year-old phenom Shin Lim, the only person to win America’s Got Talent twice. Lim crafts a personal narrative using close-up card tricks projected on a screen—and has even bigger tricks up his sleeve.
