We are absolutely thrilled to share that Thasunda Brown Duckett, president and CEO of TIAA, will grace us as the keynote speaker for our 156th Commencement Convocation. Thasunda’s passion for creating opportunities and her advocacy for education and economic empowerment are sources of inspiration for Howard graduates embarking on their post-grad journeys. We are also honored to award honorary degrees to four extraordinary leaders who have made phenomenal contributions in their respective fields: Epsy Campbell Barr, Ph.D., Costa Rica's former vice president (2018-2022) and a trailblazing leader in the global fight for Afro-descendant rights whose continued work to impact human rights and mental health is recognized on the global scale.
