Sometimes I feel like I live in two worlds. After witnessing the violent arrests of more than a dozen people at Emory University, I came home to my peaceful block a few miles away where the birds were chirping as if nothing occurred. It’s so easy to look away or dismiss what’s happening on college campuses across the country right now. Which is why I think it’s so important for journalists like me to bear witness. It’s what I told the officer in this video who threatened to arrest me and my colleague for filming. What I witnessed today was awful. But I’m glad I was there to see what happened to share it all with you.
