#fastfeetfriday talking about one acceleration drill that can be helpful for athletes who struggle with upper and lower body dissociation during the beginning of a sprint. A lot of field athletes will tend to over-rotate at top end speeds, however during acceleration it can be a good thing to see upper and lower body rotation. In cases where the athlete has a tight upper back, there can be a lack of rotation in which case drills like this medball sprint can come in handy. Taking the arms out of the equation forces the torso to do more work to stabilize the body, which results in more rotation.
