Welcome to the 5th Annual Agnes Irwin Cup! In one of their first STEAM units, the Kindergarteners engineered their own schooners, taking into consideration the effect of material (foam!), shape, and sails on their boats' ability to stay afloat and move. Of course, the sterns were decorated with their names. After a primer in wind acceleration, the girls raced their boats in the Sonnenfeld Rowing Center. Propelled by a wall of fans (and a few wayward hands in the water), all of the boats made it to the finish line.⁠ ⁠ Full STEAM ahead, Class of 2034.⁠
