Since preschool, Sydney has loved science and animals. She started helping at a pet clinic in her hometown as young as eighth grade and has been working toward fulfilling her dream of helping animals ever since. Thanks to years of hard work, Sydney has a leg up in achieving her dreams. She was recently admitted to vet school one year early, a feat possible through the 3+2 Program offered at Nebraska which gives Huskers the opportunity to apply to vet school as juniors and upon completion, receive both their bachelor's degree and a professional degree in veterinary medicine. “A lot of people don’t even know about the program—I didn’t know about it until NSE.
