If you catch a whiff of an old-school burger joint while visiting the Grand Canyon, it might very well be coming from a scenic train running on recycled French fry oil. A trip on the Grand Canyon Railway’s No. 4960 train is like leaping into an Old West time machine that takes you straight to the edge of the national park.
Also known as the “French Fry Express,” the train has been revamped to use recycled waste vegetable oil as fuel, making it the most eco-friendly way to explore the park. It reduces the park’s locomotive emissions by half. Plus, it’s just a fun way to get around.
The “French Fry Express” is back for the season. Click the link in our bio to learn how to hop aboard.
