1 year ago George Floyd was murdered in broad daylight. He was recorded lying on the ground helpless, crying for his mom, and begging for his life while a police officer kneeled on his neck and ignored pleas from him and bystanders. Sadly, this wasn’t “new” news to Black people. This was simply part of the systemic racism that has been around for centuries worldwide. However, this time it was captured on camera and then sparked a movement. The list of names before and names that followed seem endless.
