We are back on Emory University’s campus this morning to cover the fallout from Thursday’s violent arrests of pro-Palestinian demonstrators. Here’s my report this morning with some background as to what happened and insight into perhaps why police used such a heavy hand. I’m told that Emory is considering dropping all of the charges against those arrested, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. This is happening as a referendum is taking place in the form of a no-confidence vote regarding the university president.
