Meet Jasmine Wang β23, a junior majoring in biochemistry. π§ͺ
Jasmine currently works in the Wang Lab at the Columbia University Medical Center β where she did research during the Summer Research Institute (SRI) β studying new bacterial transformation methods. As a Science Writing Fellow, she strives to create accessibility in science, uplift new voices, and deconstruct old scientific conventions.
βI love chemistry because it underlies everything; you need it for medicine, the environment, and even art conservation. And for biochemistry in particular, it ties together biological systems and chemistry.β
