Meet Jasmine Wang ‘23, a junior majoring in biochemistry. 🧪 Jasmine currently works in the Wang Lab at the Columbia University Medical Center — where she did research during the Summer Research Institute (SRI) — studying new bacterial transformation methods. As a Science Writing Fellow, she strives to create accessibility in science, uplift new voices, and deconstruct old scientific conventions. “I love chemistry because it underlies everything; you need it for medicine, the environment, and even art conservation.
