Day22 #aracecaraday is the McLaren Honda MP4-30. 2015 started off pretty bad finishing the first race 2laps down, the first iteration of the Honda V6 motor was underpowered, unreliable and also drank a lot of fuel, one of the reason why it wasn’t efficient was that you were at full throttle for longer than our competitors because you were travelling that much slower, because of this I had to lift and coast from the 250m board (normally you would brake at 100m) so that we would have enough fuel to get to the end of the race! Our reliability and pace did improve through the year but not enough to be competitive, I do think our car was actually pretty good but we could never really show it.
