Day15 of #aracecaraday is the McLaren MP4-31 (MCL32). I didn’t think I would race an F1 car after my last race in 2016 but I got a call up to replace fernandoalo_oficial for the Monaco GP as he was racing the Indy500. I was pretty apprehensive as I hadn’t driven an F1 car for 6months plus F1 had the biggest regulation change probably everyone 2017, the cars were much wider and a lot more downforce but also heavier. By turn 4 of the out lap I already felt comfortable which was a relief and then it was all about enjoying a very special weekend where I qualified 9th and in front of my team mate. I had a carry over engine penalty so had to start dead last, tried to fight my way through the back which didn’t go so well as I crashed with Wehrlein and flipped him on his head.
