The Horace Jenkins story epitomizes everything great about the JSBL. When he stepped on the “platform” at St. Rose, those that followed only the NBA and D1 basketball did not have the faintest idea of who he was. After watching him compete (or more accurately dominate) against professional and D1 talent, it was abundantly clear how special he was. So when he went on to have a long and successful professional career, it never surprised anyone that spent their summers watching him. Thank you Horace for crossing the state border and coming all the way down to the Jersey Shore for the “55” championship game and ceremony.
