Like the year that led up to it, there’ll be no forgetting the #NUSoC Class of 2021 Convocation. The only rain forecast for weeks moved in right as the ceremony was about to start, delaying it for more than two hours. But the sun broke through, the graduates filed out, and the joy burst forth. And when Dean Johnson took to the lectern and sang, “I can see clearly now the rain has gone…” a stadium full of purple erupted in giddy applause. Thanks to speaker ebsburnough (pictured in second image with Dean Johnson) for his touching, funny, memorable words. And thanks to Dean Johnson for reassuring an anxious group that they would have the ceremony they were so eager to experience. Here’s to what we’ve endured. Here’s to what’s next.
