Unlike with its contemporary V8 series, Ferrari did not offer an open-top convertible or targa version of the Testarossa. Converted when new by Ernst Berg of EBS, this targa was created by cutting out a 60cm section from the roof and then refashioning as two independently removable panels. The chassis was then carefully braced to retain the structural rigidity and driving experience of the coupe.
