Meet Osward from Malawi! Osward Cosmas’ story begins with adversity, as he was forced to drop out of school in Grade 9. Despite his parents’ efforts with their farming, they struggled to make ends meet, leaving little room for Osward’s education. “I worked hard, farming with my family and selling our produce, but it was never enough to pay for my school fees,” shared Osward. But in the face of hardship, hope emerged for Osward when in 2021, he was sponsored to resume his studies through The Sonder Project’s ‘Education is Power’ program. One of his teachers, Ms. Wezi, witnessed the impact firsthand. “His whole life has changed, and he is utilizing this opportunity very well.
