Today and every day, we thank our Veterans for keeping us and our country safe. On This Veterans Day, we want to highlight a Veteran and member of #TeamTYR, Janell Hanf! Janell was inspired to serve in the military following the 9/11 attacks and a trip to visit memorials in Washington DC and NYC. Her inspiration to be a Marine came from Marine Corps veterans who worked as teachers and coaches in her middle school and high school. Janell graduated from the US Naval Academy in 2010, where she was President of the Women’s Glee Club and part of the first women’s Ice Hockey team. She was commissioned into the US Marine Corps where she served for 10 years as an Operations Officer, Company Commander, Cultural Support Team leader, and Staff Logistics Officer at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms; and Camp Pendleton, California.
