If the weather is clear on the U.S. mid-Atlantic east coast tomorrow night, you might see a rocket launch! A Black Brant IX sounding rocket is scheduled to launch from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia and A&S Physics Professor Massimiliano Galeazzi has been instrumental in making this happen.
This sounding rocket will be the fourth one to fly on a larger set of missions known as Diffuse X-rays from the Local galaxy (DXL).
Massimiliano Galeazzi is a principal investigator for the DXL mission.
NASA livestream coverage begins at 10:40 p.m. EST But, hey, if you're in NY/NJ/CT/VA, just look out your window!
