Women in Sri Lanka are creating a space of empowerment and sisterhood through surfing 🏄‍♀️ Throughout communities in Sri Lanka, women grew up believing that the ocean was dangerous and that surfing was not for them but these beliefs stem from sociocultural, economic, natural disaster, and other issues. sea_sisters_lk is a non-profit organization in Sri Lanka that works to change these beliefs.
