With libraries and cafes around campus filling up ahead of finals week, one notable addition joins the list of popular study destinations: the steps of Sproul Hall, where demonstrators of the Free Palestine Encampment plan to stay until their demands are met.
Although students at the encampment discussed difficulties of fulfilling academic obligations amid their participation in the ongoing demonstration, the encampment also provides spaces for community support and other forms of learning. While no official changes to curriculum have been made in response to the encampment, Faculty and Staff for Justice in Palestine, held office hours beside the encampment Tuesday to provide general support and advice for campers.
