Did you know that the flower arrangements you see at the Moss for exhibition openings and other events are made by VTFloralDesign? Barbara Leshyn, advanced instructor of floral design in the School of Plant and Environmental Sciences, comes up with a vision for the designs, and her undergrad teaching assistants execute that vision. Virginia Tech Floral Design created the arrangements for the opening reception of our spring exhibitions last week, and Barbara took inspiration from Shin-il Kim's work. Kim loved the designs so much, he took a couple of the vases home with him! Stop by the Moss to explore Kim's exhibition, "In Between Five Colors," and see if you can spot where the inspiration came from. Kim's exhibition (and the solo show featuring work by Namwon Choi, "The Space of Distance") is on view at the Moss now through March 26. #attheMAC #vtfloraldesign #floralhokies
