Today marks one year since we introduced the federal bipartisan #StopInstitutionalChildAbuseAct to Congress 💖 This was one of the most impactful days of my life as I never thought I would be standing on the steps of the Capitol being the hero I needed when I was locked in solitary confinement at Provo Canyon School 💔 We have made so much progress on this bill and I am deeply grateful to the Sponsors Congressman RepRoKhanna, Congressman RepBuddyCarter, Senator SenJeffMerkley, and Senator JohnCornyn as well as the over 130+ Legislators who are co-sponsoring SICCA. Legislation to protect children’s lives shouldn’t take so long to vote on but I am really hopeful it will get passed soon.
