To raise awareness, following the death of George Floyd and countless others, Oakland Women’s Soccer has decided to join other collegiate athletes around the Nation in a run/bike/walk 8.46 miles on Monday, June 8th in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
The reason for 8.46 is because this was the amount of time (in minutes) that the Officer had his knee on George Floyd’s neck. “We cannot be separated in interest or divided in purpose. We stand together until the end.” - Woodrow T. Wilson
