We are proud to be a part of Leadership in Art Museums (LAM), a $11M+ collaborative initiative to increase racial equity in museum leadership roles across the U.S.
#LAM #MuseumDiversity
Only 20% of museum leadership identify as non-White, and only 1.2% of works in all major U.S. museums were created by Black artists, 9% by Asian artists and only 2.8% by Hispanic and Latinx artists. In partnership with MellonFoundation, FordFoundation, Alice L. Walton Foundation and Pilot House, LAM aims to build more diversity in staff positions such as curators, conservators, and community educators to close the gap. Learn more about the LAM initiative at the link in our story.
