A home stand that seemed to be a jaunt turned into a marathon rather quickly. Last nights double header was no different. In game 1 the 'Riders trailed 2-0 going into the bottom of the 7th, but that all changed when Alex Buchholz hit a game tying home run that sent the 'Riders to extras. In the 8th the RoughRiders found themselves in a similar position, down one run, but that did not last long. Leadoff man Zach Zaneski put one out, knotting the game once more. Apparently Buchholz was not done and in the 9th as he gave the 'Riders their first walk-off victory of the year with his second home run of the game. Game 2 got underway shortly after the late drama, where rangers Colby Lewis took to the mound. Both teams came out firing, as all 10 runs were scored in the first 3 and a half innings. Brett Nicholas tied the game at four with a two-run homer to left in the third, but the Mission's rebutted right away with two more runs of their own.
