Ferg's is a St. Pete institution, and the celebrated sports bar is officially turning 30, much to the surprise of ownership who is throwing an "Against All Odds" celebration today. Pictured above, fergsstpete opened in 1992 in a converted gas station, just a fraction back then of the sprawling establishment it has grown into with a dozen bars, a dog park, axe throwing, and even a pirate ship. It's become a celebrated destination across the country, with CNN even naming it one of America's top 101 sports bars. As St. Pete has grown, so has Ferg's, and both parties got a big boost when the Rays came to town in 1998. Ferg's has said they regular welcome 17,000 people per day when the Rays play at home, and have seen more than 30,000 guests in a single day when the Rays hosted World Series games.
