One of downtown St. Pete’s newest spots is also one of its smallest – and soon to be one of its most popular. Bin 6 South is a restaurant, tasting bar and wine cellar, which officially opened today at 330 6th Street South.
The chef-driven kitchen, led by a pair of chefs trained at New York's Culinary Institute of America, specializes in seasonal offerings, delivering big flavors from a small space in creative and carefully curated dishes. On the cellar side, wine director Danielle McCoy has put together a collection of more than 200 labels from across the globe.
Opening day dishes at the intimate restaurant include a braised chicken raviolo, a red pepper tomato soup, Moroccan braised beef, and a banh mi sandwich that sounds primed to become a star: a French baguette filled with chicken breast, ku cal vegetables, fresh jalapenos, chicken liver mousse, cilantro, sambal olek, and B&B pickles.
