Some of the most impressive artwork in the area is also its least permanent, and this November the beautiful sand creations will return again to Treasure Island Beach. Sanding Ovations is a free annual festival bringing master sand sculptors from across the world who create unique and beautiful sculptures with the beautiful Gulf sands. This year's theme, "Once Upon A Time," promises to “transform Treasure Island Beach into a storybook fantasy.” Opening weekend is November 17-20 at 10400 Gulf Boulevard, and includes a kite flying festival on Saturday afternoon followed by fireworks that night. There will be more than a dozen bands performing over the course of Sanding Ovations.
