Ahoy there! Ready for a swashbuckling adventure? Check out tampabayhistory’s exhibit “Treasure Seekers: Conquistadors, Pirates, and Shipwrecks”!
Artifacts in this multisensory exhibit date back to the 1600s and were recovered from Florida waters. Whether you’re young or young at heart, don’t skip the interactive parts of this exhibit where you can learn how to navigate the stars like a sailor, tie knots, and even choose your own adventure in “Pirate’s Fate” their interactive show.
While you’re there, be sure to head across the floor to check out their Cuban Pathways exhibit and Touchton Map Library while you’re there.
If you haven’t been, this three floor collection is home to artifacts that focus on 12,000 years of Florida’s history. From Florida’s first peoples to Cigar City to Gasparilla to European explorers and everything in between, their immersive collection brings history to life.
The Tampa Bay History Center is open daily from 10am-5pm on the Riverwalk at 801 Water Street...
