I rarely stood behind the goal on the tunnel side of Audi Field, but this game was packed around the sidelines/corners because ATL was in town. so I went somewhere that others weren’t. Atlanta almost struck first this match and if the post didn’t do its job then this photo may have never happened. It’s weird to think that so many things must line up for moments to unfold, like imagine if Wayne jumped a yard earlier? Then that net post would have been right in his face, photo scrapped and the moment gone. Lucky to be where I was and watch history happen.
