How to make this rotating freeze frame transition 🥶
Choose the first frame of the clip you would like to transition into and create a freeze frame.
Mask out whatever person or object you want to use for the transition.
Key frame the person or object to move all the way from one side of the screen to the other. This motion should occur within roughly 3-4 frames and make sure that your subject isn’t visible on the first and last frame.
Replicate this freeze frame as many times as you like and then offset the clips so that it looks like the person or object is rotating across the screen. The more clips you use, the longer the transition will be. I like to do 12-16 frame transitions. So this would be equal to 3 or 4 clips.
On the last clip, set the position keyframe to match the first frame of the clip you wanted to transition into. You can do this by going to the end of the clip and pressing the reset button.
