Starting today, Sycamore families and friends will come together for various campus events for Family Weekend.  For Katherine Norris, a sophomore Human Development and Family Science major from Springfield, Illinois, it is a weekend of celebration with her mother, father, and sister. “I am a first-generation college student, so I am honored to provide my family and me with this experience,” Norris said. “I also have not been able to show my family around campus, so I am excited to do that as well.” “I am looking forward to taking pictures, painting pumpkins, and going to the football game. I did not have the opportunity to attend family weekend last year, so I am excited to celebrate this year.”  Norris decided to attend Indiana State University because “it felt like a place I could call home.”  “I enjoy the atmosphere, diversity, and learning opportunities I can receive here.
