A pleasure to have #TuckAlumni and dartmouthalumni Peter Raskind D’78, T’79 back in Hanover last week to deliver this year’s Halpern Lecture on Ethics and Social Responsibility! Raskind shared the lessons he’s learned on leading during crises—in which he has ample experience. When the #financialcrisis hit a decade ago, Raskind was leading National City Corporation, one of the largest banks in the United States at the time. After overseeing National City’s successful merger with PNC, Raskind went on to manage crises at the Cleveland Port Authority and Cleveland Metropolitan School District. In his time leading during uncertainty, Raskind learned the need to have thick skin, that there is such a thing as over communicating, and the importance of being an active citizen in your community.
