Last stop on the Ghana 2019 GIX Instagram takeover! 📸
Courtesy of Effie Edusei, a T’19 from Ghana, the students on the trip were treated to an outdoor lunch at her home, followed by a visit to the local village. The hospitality didn’t end there as Effie’s mom connected students with the village elders, who shared cultural stories and guided the group through the local school. The first-year students interacted with children and learned about the education system through the teachers and administrators.
That evening, the class met with famous Ghanaian rapper Reggie Rockstone at his music studio to learn about his successful career and business ventures. Following an impressive MC-takeover by two of our very own students (Reggie was impressed!), the class presented Reggie with a gift from the Tuck School.
Thank you again for joining us on our cultural journey during our travels throughout Ghana. Until the next GIX! đź‘‹
