When lisagspeaks and her husband Vincente launched doshermanostacos truck, they had $2,000, a borrowed food truck, and a dream. "We wanted to try our hand at entrepreneurship," Lisa explains. "We bootstrapped the business in the very beginning, purchasing the food from local grocery stores in hopes of selling it that very day and doing it all again the next day. The goal was never to grow or scale but simply to see what we could do on our own." They were natural entrepreneurs. The business has now scaled to three brick-and-mortar locations across Ohio (with one more opening soon) and over $1 million dollars in annual revenue.
